Television can be a major source of temptation. It is said that "The
eyes are the window to the soul". It’s amazing how, in the past 40 years,
our acceptance of objectionable programming has become the norm. In 1969
there was a movie in theatres starring well known actors and actresses
such as Anthony Newley, Joan Collins, Milton Berle and George Jessel.
The name of
the movie was "Can Hieronymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find
True Happiness?" that was one of the first X-rated movies. The only nudity
in the movie was a aquarium scene where you could almost make out a women
swimming in the nude. I’ve seen more nudity on the Super Bowl commercials.
If this movie was produced today it would be rated PG. Oh, how our values
have changed!! If your concerned with what is on your television you might
what to go to http://www.getsafetv.com a website that features Family Friendly Television Programming.
