Temptation:

How to overcome temptation! Someone once said to me "I can resist anything except temptation". I thought it was funny and started repeating it. Sometimes we do what we say. The more I repeated the joke the harder it was to resist temptation. It got to the point were all I had to do was have a thought and I did it. I lost all control.

I prayed and asked God to help me overcome this temptation but still had no control. Then during the weekly sermon at my local church  my pastor said "Resist the devil and he will flee" in his sermon. It was like a light went on. I was trying to resist temptation and not the devil. Since then whenever I’m tempted I repeat over and over "Resist The Devil And He Will Flee". It seems to work for me and I hope it might work for you.
